I am almost at my goal, under 200 pounds, When I hit 217, I stopped sodas and snacking, increased work-outs and started eating smaller portions. After 3 months, I am about to go under. I hope to maintain a steady 195.

Funny thing, when you put "weight loss" in google images, the female images are about 10 to 1 for men. What does that say about this culture?

Got a little too uncomfortable last night, first use of A/C. I resisted but my son said it was too much. It was the right call, feel better this morning for it. I know my wife would have had it on in the afternoon. Temperatures going back down tonight.

Golf is on the downswing. Gee, maybe I should have bought my new clubs this year.

Recession hurt rounds played, (and golf) never recovered,” SportsOneSource analyst Matt Powell told MarketWatch, adding golf equipment sales so far this year are down “in the mid-teens” percentage. Golf, with clubs, balls, and course fees, is “too expensive and time consuming for millennials.”

I'm rooting for the San Antonio Spurs this year. I usually go with an Eastern Conference team but I don't see the Wizards going all the way. I am rooting for them to beat the Pacers.

Cinco de Mayo actually celebrates Mexico victory over French armies, not Mexican Independence day. The Battle of Puebla, Mexico on May 5, 1862 was one of the few victories of the Mexican people over the occupying French Army.
