Did the Laundry yesterday as I had extra time. Bought some Reggie's Roast Rasta Blend coffee. It was on sale, still expensive, but very smooth and tasty. I think the bag is 8 oz., the weight is not on the bag. That makes it $18 a pound while on sale.

Malo - Suavecito. Heard it on my I-Pod the other day, just a beautiful song. From my wife's collection. Jorge Santana, brother of Carlos, was an integral part of the group.

As I was busting my Butt putting something complicated together, sweet inspiration came out of nowhere. Now it is simple. Edison said: "What it boils down to is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration."

Haven't worked out in a week, due to a cold. Time to hit the Treadmill. I am good to do three work-outs a week, like clockwork.

Forget the calendar, this is the last week of Summer. Labor Day is early and so are the Jewish Holidays. Plan on taking the boys and the Grandkids to Tanger Riverhead outlets. My wife really enjoyed going there and this will be in her honor. Of course, I won't go to the Coach store.

Half-Way through the Laundry. Early, beating the heat and using the stain remover. I am a Wash-Day Beast !

Finally, the cold is shaking off. Actually lost my voice. A woman I work with infected me and a few others. First time I've had a cold in about ten years. Feels good to have it leaving, a real burst of energy and optimism.

When I am asked how are me and the boys are doing, my answer is invariably "We are getting by." I sometimes say we are persevering, but lately Getting by.

Dystopia Rules ! Saw Elysium yesterday. $10 as an early-bird senior. Some interesting themes but finale just looked to close it out with violence. Sharlto Copley and Wagner Moura were excellent as was Alice Braga.

Re-scheduled work picnic today. Won't be great but it won't be bad. Some good food involved, fresh fish and corn will be my picks. Hey, better than sitting at a desk.

Ok, working hard but a five day weekend coming up. I will be busy.
Read the NY Daily News and their Horoscope for Aquarius is on point for me: "If you have been working way too many hours lately, you can look forward to a short break, but don’t get used to it. With love and business both competing for your attention, there’s no time to indulge in anything other than your main priorities and responsibilities."

44th Woodstock anniversary starts in two days. I plan to be in the area next week for some visits, maybe I will visit the museum at Bethel Woods. What a laugh, I was there and now 44 years later I will visit an exhibit. Yikes ! Tickets are $17 each.

A friend asked me the other day about my continued wearing of my Wedding Ring. I told him I am like a Greek Widow, this is my black, at least a year. He told me I should wear it on my right-hand ring finger. I tried it it and it felt weird so I put it back. I looked up things on the Internet, seems like you do what feels right. One site had WILF in the title, pretty funny. I did see a lot of comments from Widow and Widowers trying to date again and how the symbol of past marriage can become to some, a sore point. I don't really care, I'm not looking. If I happen to start, I'll take it one step at a time.

No picnic, time to dance in the rain. These "keep calm" signs are all over the place.
Of course, it is now a meme. It comes from motivational posters in World War II England.

My TV watching has dropped and I am finally getting back to reading. Time-Warner's dispute with CBS takes out Big Brother and the Yankees slide to mediocrity makes them hard to watch. About the only thing I watch is Seinfeld and Family Guy re-runs.

Youngest son has to deal with a School registration issue. I will take a half-day. He needs a ride, so as not to miss work. Why not take a full day ? I am very busy lately and it works out just right for timing. Half-days are fun, will have a couple of hours to play with, then do this chore.

Gearing up for a work Picnic, only Bosses. A yearly event, will get a car, some nice tunes for about a two hour ride and then it will be like work. Same crew in the car every year. Clothes will be casual, outdoors, but work nonetheless. Nothing else to talk about. Good food though, hear there will be Grilled Tuna. Some people take their spouses, I never took mine. She was aware of how boring it was if you weren't part of the game.

Got my car back, finally. Love the Bluetooth, such a simple and useful device. Also, love plugging in the I-Pod. Should have bough a new car five years ago. She would have loved it, especially the XM Radio. I now constantly listen to Classic Vinyl.

My brother wants me to go Upstate with him to find some landmarks from our Summer Childhood home. One is in the back woods and the other is a Waterfalls hidden from off the road. I can find both from memory but a quick glance at Google Maps shows the way also. I will bring my I-Pad Mini and we should find both with no problem. What an incredible feature, I even found a name for a Backwoods Swamp we used to fish in.
